The contemporary art of Nelly Panto uses new achievements in the technology of art. In her recent paintings she combines different aspects of nightlife in the modern mega-city of our times. Flickering lights, deep shadows and rectilinear shapes are the vocabulary of her work. Panto uses sharp contrasts with density of color, to depict her modern heroes. Nelly Panto was born and raised in Kishenev, Moldova, where she graduated Art School and the local Art Academy. She then worked as a book illustrator and designer. She illustrated the books of classical authors as Dostoevsky, Chekhov and Kuprin, deepening her understanding of human psychology.
